Eleanor is a gorgeous golden dilute calico with a triangular face, but she is semi-feral. That means she came from a feral colony that has had little contact with humans. She is looking for a barn home or a home with very experienced cat people who can be patient with her and work with her to socialize her. She is a calm girl and would rather hide than run or attack. Make no mistake-she would be perfect in a barn or country home, but you would need to have little expectation of having her hop into your lap any time soon.

The feral colony she came from is behind several stores where people go in and out in the area where the cats live, so she's been around people, and is calm when people are near her. She has not been petted and touched, however, and is NOT a pet cat.

If you can help Eleanor find a barn or country home where she can snooze on a back porch, visit with some kitty friends, and have somebody to watch out for her and give her time to come around, she would be happy.

To come and see this lovely girl, visit her webpage at www.HappyCatAdoptions.org and click adopt, read the adoption process (actually, talk to us about the process and fee for adopting a barn cat because it's different) and click adopt again to fill out the adoption application. In your application, please give us some indication of what you envision her new situation to be.
